When I finished my doctoral degree as an international student, I assumed the hard part was over. It wasn’t. I’m Ramin J. Imani, and I spent months applying for roles, getting rejected, and watching others land positions at firms I wanted to work for — consulting firms and leading industrial companies. I didn’t have an MBA, I wasn’t fluent in the local language, and I didn’t have a strong professional network. What I did have was frustration and a lot of unanswered questions.
So I stopped following generic advice and started treating my job search like a problem to solve. I tested different approaches, paid attention to what actually led to conversations, interviews, and offers, and gradually built a system around it.
That approach helped me land multiple offers across consulting firms and global companies — and later helped others do the same. Today, I use that same system to help candidates who want clarity, structure, and real progress in their careers.
